Professional Indemnity

This cover protects you against claims made by dissatisfied customers in the event that you have been professionally negligent. Claims of this nature can not only be financially crippling but can also damage the reputation of your business.

The policy will cover you against the legal costs of defending the claim and any damages awarded against you. Cover is usually written on a ‘claims made’ basis which means that you must maintain cover whilst the business is operating and for several years afterwards as the insurer with whom you hold your current policy will deal with any new claims - irrespective of when the work was undertaken.

Cover is available for a range of different occupations who give professional advice for a fee - such as Accountants, Estate Agents and Architects.

Acquisition Update - COBRA Completes Four Acquisitions
The Board of COBRA Holdings plc, a major UK-based retail and wholesale insurance broking group, is pleased to announce that it has acquired four businesses comprising of three insurance broking entities, Giles (Alton) Ltd ('Giles'), J.K. Lee Limited ('JKL'), G.D.K Insurance Services Limited ('GDK') and an underwriting agency, County Insurance Services Schemes ('CISS'). Giles is based in Hampshire, JKL is based in Manchester and GKD and CISS, which trade alongside each other, are based in Essex.

Acquisition - UK and Ireland Insurance
COBRA Holdings PLC, a UK-based retail and wholesale insurance broking group, today announces the acquisition of UKI Holdings Ltd (“UK & Ireland”) and its subsidiary, UK & Ireland Insurance Services Ltd, a Manchester-based general insurance brokerage specialising in Commercial insurance, in particular for the construction industry. COBRA will pay a total consideration of approximately £4.3 million.
