General Combined

For those trades that do not fit into a set package facility (e.g. shop or office), a commercial combined policy is the ideal and flexible way to provide a comprehensive product.

The policy is designed to meet the needs of most businesses where some form of manual work is apparent. This would include manufacturers, distributors, repairers, finishers, printers, wholesalers, engineering companies, contractors and high risk and specialist trades.

This policy provides cover for the main insurance needs of a business, and a combination of the following covers can be selected:

Material Damage
This policy provides cover for a business's material property for defined perils such as fire and flood and all risk perils such as accidental loss.

Business Interruption
Provides a business with financial compensation following an insured loss under the Material Damage cover and is designed to help the business return to a normal trading position as soon as possible.

Employers' Liability
This policy protects companies against damages and legal costs that arise as a result of claims from employees suffering an injury or disease due to, and during, their employment.

Public and Products Liability
Cover is provided in respect of legal liability to pay compensation including legal costs for accidental death or personal injury to any person excluding employees and accidental loss or damage to third party material property. Cover can be taken with or without liability for products supplied.

Money
This cover is provided for physical loss or damage of 'money' pertaining to the business, occurring within the UK.

Goods in Transit
This provides cover for property whilst in transit within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Republic of Ireland to the limits selected by the customer.

Specified Items 'All Risks'
This policy provides cover for loss of or damage to items specified by the customer, cover can apply at specific premises only or within the territorial limits of the UK, EU or world-wide as requested.

Acquisition Update - COBRA Completes Four Acquisitions
The Board of COBRA Holdings plc, a major UK-based retail and wholesale insurance broking group, is pleased to announce that it has acquired four businesses comprising of three insurance broking entities, Giles (Alton) Ltd ('Giles'), J.K. Lee Limited ('JKL'), G.D.K Insurance Services Limited ('GDK') and an underwriting agency, County Insurance Services Schemes ('CISS'). Giles is based in Hampshire, JKL is based in Manchester and GKD and CISS, which trade alongside each other, are based in Essex.

Acquisition - UK and Ireland Insurance
COBRA Holdings PLC, a UK-based retail and wholesale insurance broking group, today announces the acquisition of UKI Holdings Ltd (“UK & Ireland”) and its subsidiary, UK & Ireland Insurance Services Ltd, a Manchester-based general insurance brokerage specialising in Commercial insurance, in particular for the construction industry. COBRA will pay a total consideration of approximately £4.3 million.
