Peter Cowan - Head of Sales and Claims Operations
Peter started his insurance career whilst at school when he carried out a weeks work experience with BKG Insurance Brokers.
Having left school in 1990, Peter worked for Royal and Sun Alliance as a Commercial Administration Clerk. Two years later Peter began his broking career with Michael James and Associates and then in 1997 joined BKG 'full time'. Peter was ultimately promoted to New Business Manager at BKG..
Following the merger with Truman Lincoln in January 2006, Peter was appointed Head of New Business was responsible for the acquisition of new commercial clients and the management of the new business team.
In January 2008, the Claims Department became the responsibility of Peter.
Peter is married and has two daughters and his pastimes include rugby where he used to run the 2nd XV at Warlingham RFC, football and golf.

Richard Cliffe - Schemes and Marketing Manager
Richard commenced his insurance career in 1988 with ITT London & Edinburgh, specialising in Personal Lines underwriting, culminating in him moving into Head Office as Assistant Underwriter for Intermediary and Affinity Business.
In March 1994, Richard moved to Legal and General as National Household Schemes Underwriter. Based in London, Richard was responsible for underwriting and developing intermediary and affinity business.
Having mastered Personal Lines, Richard joined General Accident in 1996 as Commercial Underwriter developing intermediary business in Scotland, London and the Home Counties. Following the Commercial Union/General Accident merger, Richard worked for CGU and then ultimately Norwich Union.
In January 2002, Richard was tempted into the world of broking and joined Truman Lincoln as Schemes Broker. His remit was the development of Commercial and Personal Lines Schemes. In November 2005, Richard was promoted to Schemes Manager following the merger of Truman Lincoln and BKG Insurance Brokers. In December 2006, he was then promoted to Schemes and Marketing Manager. Richard sits on the Group's Marketing Committee and also the Consumer Compliance Committee.
Although Richard's competitive playing days are over, he still enjoys playing golf, watching Essex County Cricket Club and following his first love, Tottenham Hotspur. Married with two children, Richard's other pastimes are reading autobiographies, music and cooking.

Tim Williams - Head of CDU and Personal Lines
Tim commenced his insurance career with Bain Clarkson in September 1993 as a Personal Lines Customer Services Advisor. Having experienced two mergers, Tim moved from Customer Services to a more sales focused role within the Toyota Affinity scheme for AON.
He then quickly progressed to head up a fully delegated in house underwriting scheme underwritten by East West and was subsequently appointed Team Leader of the Customer Services department covering a number of Personal Lines Affinity Schemes including Rover Insurance, Toyota Insurance and Age Concern.
Following the creation of a further two Affinity schemes for the Institute of Advanced Motorists and Yamaha, Tim was appointmented to Customer Service Manager.
After 9 years at AON, Tim then moved to Truman Lincoln Ltd as Personal Lines Manager and following the creation of COBRA Insurance Brokers in January 2006, Tim's remit was then expanded to include Personal Lines and the Commercial Development Unit.
Tim enjoys going to the gym, go karting and playing 5-a-side football and has a keen interest in cars and motor bikes.

Jan Staniforth ACII - Compliance Manager
Jan started her insurance career in 1979 at General Accicent Insurance Company in Putney, dealing with Personal Lines Clients and moving to Croydon in 1992 as a Commercial Underwriter. She transferred to CGU Insurance Company in 1999 to write Commercial business and in 2000 joined BKG Insurance Brokers as a Commercial Account Handler.
Jan subsequently managed the small commercial business department and in 2005 she both qualified as an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute and gained the designation of Chartered Insurance Broker.
She moved to COBRA Insurance Brokers in 2006 to manage the compliance of the company
Jan is married and her hobbies include travelling and music.
